Hi, I’m Samantha Macklin! I’m 20 years old, a big believer in Jesus, and someone who genuinely finds joy in the little things—like the perfect iced vanilla latte with oat milk, a good book on a quiet afternoon, or rewatching my favorite episodes of The Middle (Sue Heck is my spirit animal). If you ask anyone who knows me, they’ll tell you pink is definitely my color, Chipotle bowls are my go-to comfort food, and storytelling is where I come alive. I’m currently studying journalism and marketing while also minoring in English—because my heart beats for both creativity and connection. I’ve always believed that words have the power to heal, inspire, and spark change, and I’ve seen that firsthand through the journey God’s brought me on.
I’ve had the honor of being part of the National American Miss system for over a decade—an experience that’s shaped me into a confident young woman with a passion for leadership, service, and authenticity. Through NAM, I’ve learned that your voice matters, and your story—no matter how broken or messy—is still valuable and worthy of being shared. I carry that truth into everything I do, whether I’m mentoring younger girls, writing devotionals, hosting workshops, or volunteering in my community through The Joy Project, a platform I created to spread light and love to kids struggling with mental health and grief.
But above all else, my relationship with God is the foundation of who I am. I’ve walked through grief, anxiety, and seasons of doubt, but I’ve also discovered that God truly works all things together for good. He’s shown me time and time again that His plans are greater than my own, and that even in the waiting, there’s purpose. My life is a testament to redemption, healing, and the wild, unexpected beauty of trusting Jesus. So whether you’re here because you love pageants, faith, writing, or just need a friend—I’m really glad you stopped by. Let’s walk this journey of life together, one pink latte and prayer at a time.
